Robert Sundahl

Bob received his higher education at the University of Minnesota, completing a PhD in Materials Science in 1966. He has spent his career contributing to the development of wide range of technologies – microwave communications, integrated circuits, piezoelectric devices, fiber optic technology – both as a direct contributor and program management at Bell Laboratories, Allied Signal, and Intel Corporation. Bob has had a continuing interest in promoting engineering education for those coming from financially limited backgrounds, encouraged by his own background and fortune in finding financial support.

John Potts

After serving in the United States Air Force and earning a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, John worked as the Director of Platform Operations at Intel, where he led planning and product development for handheld and wireless business groups. He later worked to make sustainability a key business driver with the China-US Center for sustainable Development, promoting the business value of sustainable engineering.

Matt Sundahl

Matt Sundahl is the Financial Director at Conservation X Labs (A DC based 501c3), where he leads all financial strategy and operations for an international portfolio of conservation innovation projects ranging from $5–10 million across regions including Central Asia, the Amazon, and the United States. Prior to joining CXL, Matt spent five years in public accounting, advising on complex real estate transactions and working with high-net worth individuals on taxation. At CXL, he designs spinout models, builds business plans, and works with investor engagement, including designing pitches for venture capital and structuring public-private partnerships. He plays a key role in aligning financial strategy with CXL’s mission, helping launch transformative technologies to prevent extinction and scale environmental impact.

Sophie Quisling

Sophie Quisling works in early stage biotech start-ups to bring novel technologies to researchers. Her work includes biology applications research, protocol development, and collaboration with early access partners, helping to bridge scientific innovation with commercial readiness. Sophie earned her degree in Bioengineering from Santa Clara University and is passionate about creating opportunities for future engineering students.
